Shaykh Moaaz Hawari is an Imam, Islamic marriage celebrant and marriage counsellor with more than 20 years of international experience in Islamic education, daʿwah and community leadership. He holds a Bachelor’s in Islamic Sciences (Hadith) from Al-Azhar University and a Master’s in Tafsir and ʿUlūm al-Qur’an from MEDIU, Malaysia.

Yes. When the legal requirements are satisfied, the Islamic Nikah and Australian civil marriage can be conducted as one meaningful ceremony.
Contact us as early as possible. The Notice of Intended Marriage is generally given to the authorised celebrant at least one month and no more than 18 months before the marriage.
