Nikah & civil marriage
We conduct Islamic Marriage (Nikah) ceremonies and celebrate civil marriages. As a Registered Minister of Religion, Imam Moaaz Hawari is authorised to conduct Islamic marriages and register them with Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria (BDM).
Couples intending to marry should lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before the intended marriage date. Couples may also request a Certificate of Islamic Marriage from the celebrant Imam.

Yes. When all legal and Islamic requirements are met, both can be thoughtfully incorporated into one ceremony.
Contact us as early as possible. In most cases, the Notice of Intended Marriage must be received at least one month before the wedding date.
Yes. The ceremony can include Arabic and English. If a party does not understand the legal ceremony language, an independent interpreter may be required.
Services may be available across Victoria. Please include your ceremony location in your enquiry so travel arrangements can be discussed.
Yes. A simple ceremony can be arranged while still meeting every legal requirement, including the presence of two adult witnesses.
